아리랑은 어디서 왔고, 어디로 가는 노래일까?

아리랑의 발자취를 따라 역사 속 ‘아리랑의 길’을 걷다 보면,

우리는 새로운 아리랑을 만날 수 있을까?

《아리랑으로 가는 길》은 총 10악장으로 구성, 모든 악장은 ‘동(動)’으로 끝나는 부제를 지닌다.

움직임과 떨림의 개념을 통해 아리랑을 고정된 유산이 아닌, 끊임없이 변화해 온 살아있는 문화로 탐구하는 작품이다.

지역별 아리랑의 ‘토리’¹를 소개하는 몰입형 시청각 악보는 국악 연주자들의 해석을 통해 살아나며,

관객, 연주자, 작곡가를 포함한 모든 참여자에게 눈과 귀, 그리고 마음으로 이 길을 함께 걸어 보기를 초대한다.

 

시간과 공간, 기억과 소리를 가로지르며 펼쳐지는 아리랑의 역동적인 여정 속으로...!

What path has Arirang travelled, and where is it heading?

As we follow the historical footsteps of Arirang through “The Road to Arirang,” might we encounter a new Arirang along the way?

The Road to Arirang consists of ten movements, each carrying a subtitle ending with the word “Dong” (동, 動), a Korean term meaning movement, motion, vibration, or dynamic flow. Through the concept of Dong, the work explores Arirang not as a fixed heritage, but as a living culture that has continuously evolved through time.

​

The immersive audiovisual score introducing the regional tori¹ of Arirang comes to life through the interpretations of traditional Korean musicians. Audiences, performers, and the composer alike are invited to walk this path together with their eyes, ears, and hearts.
